New Chat Features for Oct 2024
Exciting New Features Released – October 2024!
We’re thrilled to announce several new features designed to enhance your experience and streamline communication with your visitors. Here's a brief overview of what’s new in our October 2024 release.
1. New Visitor Home Tab in Website Chat
Our newly designed Home Tab offers a sleek, user-friendly interface that provides you an area to start a chat and link to important information like pricing links, new feature announcements, status notifications, as well as article links.
You can easily enable this tab by updating to the latest code snippet and making sure to toggle the home tab to enabled in the web live chat settings. Head over to Apps, then edit the settings in your live chat widget. These settings are in your General Settings tab as below:
Once you home tab is enabled, you can add links with images to your announcements, blog articles, or any information you'd like to information your visitors about.
Head over to Apps --> your Live Chat App, click edit, and go to the Customize Text tab. Here you can set up your card templates with a header, description, link url, and image for each announcement or link you want to include on the home tab in your live chat widget.
2. Previous Visitor Chat History Tab
With our new Previous Visitor History Tab, visitors can now view their previous chat history with your live chat. Visitors can continue previous chats at any point and you'll receive the invites to restart the chats as you always have in Teams, Slack, Google, or any other integration.
3. Collect Pre-Sales Information Post-Chat Start
We’ve reduced the friction in gathering critical visitor information. Now, you can collect pre-sales details even after the chat has started. This allows you to focus on the conversation first and gather essential information when it feels most natural. To enable this feature, toggle the Enable Pre-Chat Questions Panel to off in the General Settings.
Once you disable the pre-sales page, your chat will jump right into the active chat screen to immediately start the chat.
Then, once your visitor has started the chat, you can automatically prompt for your visitor's name, email, phone, etc.
4. WhatsApp Channel Integration
We’re excited to bring you WhatsApp channel integration! Visitors can now chat with your team directly from their WhatsApp app, making communication even more convenient. You can bring your own number or set up a new one where visitors can reach you right in once app. Enable the AI Chatbot to automatically respond to your customer queries and then escalate to your agents when needed.
This feature helps expand your reach by meeting customers on their preferred platforms.
